Overview

From a complex goal to a workable plan

E-prescribing products require coordination across user workflows, product requirements, technical architecture, external systems, testing, and third-party network processes.

We help clients define the product and organize implementation work while keeping prescriber, pharmacy, and integration needs visible.

In the documented NoTimeRx implementation, Biotica engineers operate the surrounding telehealth platform while authorized prescribers use DoseSpot for e-prescribing. NoTimeRx reports that supported routing in its configuration uses the Surescripts network, including handoffs to selected participating pharmacies where applicable.

What we can help with

Support shaped around the project

Focused capabilities for e-prescribing development, brought together around the outcomes and decisions your team needs to move forward.

01

Product scope and requirements

Define intended users, use cases, workflows, roles, permissions, product boundaries, and implementation priorities.

02

Prescriber and pharmacy workflows

Map prescription creation, review, routing, status, changes, cancellation, and exception-handling needs.

03

Technical architecture planning

Organize application, interface, identity, data, audit, security, and deployment considerations with technical teams.

04

Surescripts connectivity preparation

Coordinate requirements and planning for applicable contracting, certification, transaction testing, and approval activities.

05

EMR and EHR integration

Support data mapping, API and interface work, workflow integration, testing, and coordination with system vendors.

06

Testing and release planning

Help organize test scenarios, dependencies, issue tracking, acceptance criteria, readiness, and phased releases.

Documented implementation

E-prescribing inside an operated telehealth workflow

The NoTimeRx case connects platform operations with DoseSpot e-prescribing and the Surescripts network while keeping clinical and pharmacy responsibilities with licensed professionals.

NoTimeRx

Biotica engineers operate the non-clinical NoTimeRx platform around patient, provider, e-prescribing, and pharmacy handoffs. Independent licensed clinicians retain prescribing decisions, and licensed pharmacies retain compounding and dispensing responsibilities.

DoseSpot

DoseSpot is the third-party e-prescribing technology used by authorized prescribers in the NoTimeRx workflow. Official DoseSpot materials describe Surescripts-certified prescription transmission and related identity, pharmacy, decision-support, and controlled-substance capabilities when configured and authorized.

Contract platform development

Biotica Consulting can provide contract software engineering support for telehealth, e-prescribing, and other connected-health platforms. Engagements can combine market research, product definition, architecture, application development, API and EMR/EHR integration, testing, documentation, and launch planning. Our current market focus includes the United States, Canada, Brazil, China, and India. We are also open to evaluating opportunities in other markets.

All work is scoped on a contract basis. Availability and implementation options vary by market, product, vendor access, data rights, security and privacy requirements, client environment, testing, and applicable approvals. Market research and technical support do not replace legal, regulatory, clinical, security, or compliance advice.

Third-party network note

DoseSpot and Surescripts are third parties. References describe documented use or intended connectivity and do not imply affiliation, endorsement, certification by Biotica, guaranteed routing, pharmacy acceptance, or network access. Connection depends on applicable contracting, credentialing, certification, testing, patient and prescriber choices, pharmacy participation, and approval by the relevant parties.
